I was out shopping on Sunday and walked past a coffee shop that had a huge (we’re talking 3′ x 4′) sign in its window.
It proudly proclaimed:
54 MORE SEATS DOWNSTAIRS
Possibly the most odd statement I’ve seen in a while.
- Have they had problems when a party of 55 turned up and couldn’t fit in?
- Why not just say: ‘More seating downstairs’
- Or if they’re that proud of the number: ‘More than 50 seats downstairs’.
- Do they think they’re losing trade because people don’t know there are enough seats?
I guess I’ll never understand marketing…
