I've fallen back in love with organic box deliveries, having taken in my second consecutive Abel and Cole fruit and veg box.
There's something so wholesome about opening up the box and seeing lovely produce staring up at you (literally – some of it has eyes ;o) ) It may sound strange, but seeing vegetables that still have the soil attached makes you feel more at one with your food, as opposed to the overly-hygienic and scrubbed stuff you buy at your local supermarket. I went into a shop recently and was faced with two different 'bins' of carrots. Bizarrely, I paid less for my carrots because they hadn't been washed, than if I'd pick the scrubbed ones – go figure!
